I'm wearing my thicker sun arms and a gilet, that's all. I figure even tho I have a 4am start, I'll be climbing until about 7am so won't be too cold at that point. I might wear a bandana because if it gets hot I can use it to cool down as well.warthog1 wrote:Whats everyone planning to wear clothing wise?
I'm planning bibs, jersey, arm warmers and usual halo bandana. No undershirt, I'm guessing the vest will block a bit of wind chill?
I figure it will warm up pretty quick.

Good luck tomorrow.grantw wrote:I took a drive up Hotham at lunch time today, was 8c :-0 on the way back down we stopped to help a rider who had come off and gave him a lift back into town. He seemed a bit concussed, but otherwise OK.
For mine I had a beautiful early ride up to Tawonga gap. Gorgeous morning if a bit cold

I can't imagine miserliness bars would be very satisfying. I'd go with the generosity barssinglespeedscott wrote:How did the dates and miserliness bars go?

Where did you go? That's a heck of a detour!warthog1 wrote:Well that was a really well run event I thought
Impressed with the number of volunteers giving up their time to run the event.
I'm booking the motel room again for next year.
Hopefully I won't miss the tawonga gap turn off next year.
Porepunkah to porepunkah 302 km :doh.
Oh well probably the only time I'll crack that milestone.

Ah-ha! I guess that was a bit of a disappointment.warthog1 wrote:I sailed on past the tawonga gap turn off and headed towards wodonga. I went 19km before I checked google maps and turned around 19 km back again.
Porepunkah - Bright return is where the other 14 k comes from.

Thanks!warthog1 wrote:Nice work Eleri that is a massive time gain :8
I'm not sure, I climbed the back of falls with someone from Bendigo and another bloke I didn't know. Then I caught up with a bloke in BMW riding kit?
I was on a black Cervelo S5 with giordana knicks.
Struth! That's keen. Well done.ausrandoman wrote:
I did 315 km but it was deliberate. I finished the ACE just before 3:00 so went straight on up Buffalo to Dingo Dell. The ever-smiling vollies were waiting for the last 20 or so tail-enders doing the Classic 200 and it was great to see that they were looked after every bit as well as the faster riders.

Then there were (at least) two women on tiny Baums in Bright this weekend ....Eleri wrote:....
Nope - must have been some other chap from Bendigo. You'd remember me. I'm a woman on a tiny Baum.

I was a bit pissed with myself and was all ready to blame the organisers for not sign posting properly , but no it was my own stupid fault and I was equally stupid for taking that long to realiseausrandoman wrote:
