Group Rides In Geelong

Postby mello11 » Tue Jan 21, 2014 11:16 am

Hi,

I have recently moved to Geelong and I am looking for Sat and Sun Morning Group Rides (intermediate level) that roll out of Grovedale/Armstrong Creek area. Loops heading towards either Ocean Grove, Torquay or Barwon Heads!

Cheers

There used to be a group that rolled out from the Grovedale hotel most if not all days around 6:30. Intensity changed from day to day, from memory saturday was a fast torquay return. There used to be some groups that roll out from Bunnings in Waurn Ponds as well.

If you go into Degrandi's they used to have a little flyer on the counter with details of all thr group rides around Geelong (treat it only as a guide though)

I used to ride with these guys before moving away.

Waurn Ponds Bunch Ride

From memory they used to leave from Bunnings Waurn ponds on Saturday around 7am for a long-ish ride and then on Sunday at 8am for 13th beach and Barwon Heads

It was a good welcoming and very inclusive group to ride with.

If you click on word "Saturday" (in blue) it will take you to the website of the ride.
But to answer your question I think the website mentioned 90kms

Happy riding
