Ian Christie

Postby VeloGiro » Wed Aug 20, 2014 7:44 am

Hi folks - I am restoring a lovely old '70's Christie touring bicycle for a friend whilst the are overseas - its a surprise...having a ball doing it, sourcing parts and tinkering away as parts roll in.

My issue is that the decals are in very poor condition and i am really wanting to replace them, BUT i have tried without any success to source some.

Trying this approach - would anyone know how i might go about contacting Ian? Perhaps he has old sets of decals somewhere. I would be wrapped if i could track him down...Any leads greatly appreciated - Perhaps with privacy and all if someone knows how to contact Ian they could PM me - I could pass on my details to pass on to Ian? :)

Cheers Johnno

Perhaps you will have better luck posting the question on the FB page The Cycling Scrapbook? Best of luck with the search.

Try Greg Softley at cyclomondo.net. He can probably make a set.

I have a very strong feeling that this is his Facebook page.

The Bike touring pages are pretty active - lots of international touring flavour. Eg. this one.
