Local tracks

Hi,
My wife and I recently bought new MTBs (Specialized Hardrocks) and wish to do a bit of trail riding (I hope that's the correct term! We r novices )
Can anyone suggest some areas around the Mornington Peninsula area we can have some fun? We live in the Frankston area. Thanks to all that offer some advice

Ride to the end of the street and turn left

Seriously, that's often the best way to find tracks - just go looking for them. I'm constantly stumbling over things I didn't know were there.

I'm well over the other side(s) of Melbourne in Sunbury so I can't help you much directly. I'm pretty sure the Bay Trail starts/ends out your way.

Apart from that, go outside and let your bikes tell you where to go

Hi im in seaford and if your after mtb tracks for all skill levels I would head down to lysterfield lake. Its about a 20-30 minute drive from seaford/frankston and is worth it. I haven't come across anything good down seaford / frankston. Nothing to keep me entertained for long anyway.

I have heard that there are a few tracks out "behind" Frankston and Mt. Eliza, but I don't have any details. It may be worth doing a search on www.bikely.com as well.

I often ride from Bayswater to carum on my Mt Bike along the bike tracks. Check out the melways (dotted red lines with bike pics) are bike tracks, or buy a bike track book from your LBS. There are hundreds of tracks.
