What's the best way to measure my efforts up the 1 -20? I want to know my speed and time taken to go up 1-20. What do you guys use?

Strava is the best option, as it will automatically pick up the start and end of the segment.

Otherwise.... a stopwatch on a bike computer?

If you can still pedal when you get to the top, you haven't gone hard enough.

not something I specifically do but do use ridewithgps on an android smartphone to record activities, take pics, do diary stuff and noticed recently that some strava segments get automatically reported ( I don't use strava other than the heatmap for route planning) Not sure if comes up in free version (i pay for premium because of better route editing) - might be worth a try assuming have a smart phone and needs no button pressing at the time to see outcome

(for those with appendages to wave - no I wasn't walking!)

Strava segment integration with my Garmin Edge these days, but in the past any bike computer with a lap timer. Time between the speed limit sign at the bottom and the one at the top.

+1 for Strava, you can use the phone app or buy a bike computer. Just start it recording when you leave home and stop it when you get to your destination, it'll do the rest for you.
