Re: Turning down a fork racedone this several times. Get a half round file, set aside an hour, music on and very slowly file away. Easy if you put the end of the steerer on the corner of your work bench so that it can pivot and you can file and turn the fork at the same time.
Ever since the vasectomy...I mostly ride fixed.

Campag make a toolkit with cutters to accurately ream the seats for headset cups and crown races, facers for bottom brackets and headsets, taps for bottom brackets and virtually all the other tools necessary to properly prepare a classic frame for building. Just like this
