The bloke will cop assault for this one for his actions with the car door. Don't let the cops mess you about with this one and if you have an doubts, have a natter with your member of parliament - that's why they are there.

Sounds like you're a bit messed about physically though. Take it easy on the recovery. I know how hard is to come back emotionally after a battering like this (mine come from a different source). My email addy should be showing if you want to yarn or vent privately.

Get back onto the bike again. I can understand your feelings about traffic, but search out some good bike paths.

You have witness's to call upon, so it should be an open and shut case.

By having the authorities deal with him, it may teach him a lesson, otherwise he is bound to do it again.

I too suffered a brain explosion froma motorist, but no contact was made. These two you dorks decided to pull out in friont of me, making me brake only, but then started thinking that it was funny and giving me the finger whilst I gave them a semi-mouthful.

I wanted them to get wiped out by a truck, but realised that the anger toeard them should be pity. In the end, they'll get their just rewards. Karma.

I hope that the cops get your guy, and that you are OK.

Good news there mate. That's one of the things about a good lugged steel frame - it's for life. Plastic and coke can bikes are throw away items (maybe that's why they're popular in modern society)

Great news on the bike front....Old Tommi's never day. They're like a good wine, they get better as they get older.
I have flogged my 05 Diamante to mate. It was just too long in the top-tube and handled like a pig for me. It was a good deal him but It means I still get to see it every weekend. Only thing is- he is yet to pay!!

The Around the bay in a day (ATB) is sold out in the Melbourne-Queenscliffe-ferry-sorrento-Melbourne direction--- that we are going in. Keep an eye out on ebay if you want to go this year, otherwise, next year. Let us know how you get on.
I only have one bike built up, so get the Diamante back together!!! I might build the Tommi Ultrafire, but it's all brand new. Now that Steel bike weighs in at 1.4kgs including the forks----I don't know how He does it! I mean parting the Red Sea is one thing, but a steel frameset/forks for 1.4kgs. Tommasini is not off this world. (I know, John Lennon got into trouble for something along those lines- bigger than JC! Anyone of the Bible Belt of Deep South Ipswich need not be offended)

The lad who I sold this beauty to has just had it fitted at a bike shop owned by a chap called Wardell or Waddle or ? he is approaching his 60's and his famous for his Suntour exploits. His phrase is the caption above.
Apparently, he took one look at the Tommasini 05 Diamante, and extolled virtues on the welding and incomparable similies with the bikes of today.

Never let work get in the way of your cycling.
There's plenty out there....but line another job up first.

As for the strong arm of the law, it is oft said that they're too busy revenue raising, hiding in the bushes, with speed cameras..they do have an ombudsman if you think that you are getting a raw deal. But I think attempted murder is serious enough.

Get legal advice on a 'no win no fee' basis with say, Slater and Gordon, who should be in Brissy, if it's getting to you. It would get to me too, but I do have a Vigilante streak running thru me, despite being an RC!!! Turning the other cheek was never a strong point.

Ya silly bugga. Giving up because your legs didn't want to work no more. Sheesh

It's hard work finding those distances isn't it. Even finding a 100km is hard work, let alone finding enough deviations to do 160. Pity you cramped at the end.

Good effort mate. Don't mark it as a failure. You did a century and a half, and THAT's something to celebrate.
