:( I wanted to wear a BNA jersey on this ride too. Never mind.. they'll reach us eventually! I'll be wearing my CQ09 jersey instead :)

Best you get onto the organisers, Purt.. you wouldn't want to miss out just because it got lost in the mail!

My goal is to start before 8am!

Seriously - I'll be waiting for my mum to start, and she won't arrive until around 0600 because she's catching the train down up from the gold coast. At least I'll get a bit of a sleep-in :)

My bike's a commuter, not a racer - I'll be plodding along and enjoying the view, not looking to set records.

I've got a 30km ride to the start, so it'll be a long day.

I'll be seeing her then. I'm part of the crew making sure that only pre-paid riders are on the chartered train. It is full, so no room for non-booked riders aiming to get to the start.

There's a chartered train? I don't think she even knows about it. But I guess it's academic, since the train is full anyway. I'll tell her for next year :)

Quote from BQ email yesterday -

The following rider numbers have been mailed out and should have been received, numbers 1 to 9761. Those who have a number from 9762 to 10002 need to arrange collection at the Bicycle Queensland office

Looks like they've cracked the 10,000 riders mark; should be fun times at the start :D

See you all there, I'll be the fat bloke on the red bike :D :D

I seem to be living at Duttons this week...my bike was serviced and we just purchased a Trek 1.2WSD for my wife, her fit up is at 3.00pm tomorrow.

Cheers
Dave.

Yeah only a gentle ride is planned tomorrow due to the event on Sunday....they were going to do a normal 6.00am start and ride for an hour, but the coffee shop wouldnt be open at 7.00 when we finish so the start time was moved back, coffee is more important !!!

I have been riding with the slow group the last 2 weeks as I had never ridden in a group before, think I will stick with the slow one again tomorrow and then move to the intermediate group in a couple of weeks.

Will see you in the morning and say g'day.

Cheers
Dave.

See you tomorrow.

hey Dave,

I guess with a bigger group like that, the momentum just kept us rolling, I know I started to struggle at the end, that last 100m up Mango hill is a killer.... But feeling good about the ride now.
