(Not sure if its already been mentioned) :?

The bikeway that follows the river along the bottom of the Kangaroo Point has two wooden 'bridge' type sections. Riding to work today, one of the bridges has been resurfaced in bitumen material. Makes for a much smoother path. Also the wooden bridge used to have (checkerplate) metal transitions from concrete path to the wood. I believe there were some reports (maybe on this forum) of the metal being pretty slippery when wet and plenty of near accidents. And they were abit too big to tackle at speed on a roadie (bent rims anyone?).

Good move BCC, and hopefully they will get around to the the other wooden 'bridge' by next week

Great news! I'm not a fan of those slippery wooden bridges.
