Christmas break rides

Postby Lark2004 » Tue Dec 22, 2009 10:14 pm

Hi All,

Anybody doing any rides over the Christmas/New year period?

I've got holidays from 25th Dec through to the 11th Jan.

Maybe thinking of doing the Dayboro loop, or Mt Mee.
Definatly doing a few runs out from Lawnton through Redcliffe and back...

I won't be. That'll be a week off for partying etc, then into it hard from the 4th. So some weekend rides into the hills after that would be good :)

I'm up for a ride.. just something relaxing, not too challenging, under 100Km.

Yes, I know. I'm a weenie.

Hi Andrew,
I'm meeting some guys for a Mt Mee, Cabo, Redcliffe run on Sunday 27th at the Petrie Pub 6:10am. Interested?? You'll have to put up with my inept climbing skills though

For anyone interested, me and some friends are going for a 70ish km ride on boxing day. Leaving South Pine Community Church at Eatons Hill at 7:00 am

No idea of direction, we usually work that out just before we leave.

Hey Andrew,

I missed this thread until now.

Did Woody Point yesterday and this morning with Ewen...prior to that not much due to rain etc.

Having a rest tomorrow, going out with family.

Providing it isnt pouring rain I will be at Duttons at 6.00am on Saturday.

Cheers
Dave.

PS: Next Wed / Thurs may do Dayborough / Samford.

I'll be there on Sat.

And count me in for Dayboro. I did the Winn Rd / Dayboro loop the other morning, I had forgotten how steep some of the hills on Winn rd are  Still did comfortably enough though.

Would like to meet up with you blokes, for a ride one day. But I fear that I need to get some more miles in the old legs. If i see you doing a fairly flat ride, I will come along ,to see how my legs go,if that is ok with you.
Only doing up to 25ks at the moment, and when working a quick 12k at 4 in the morning.

Regards
Gary

The more the merrier.... I suppose you don't have many hills to practice on near you do? Unless you head into Caboolutre, and use Bribie rd as a warm up....

Nup ! Not what you would call a hill if you were competing any way.
