Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbane
Brissie to Robbie's coffee shop would work well
Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbaneMan, you've got to get out more.
Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbane
Where did I say I only ride the river loop? Where do you suggest they ride (starting in the City/Southbank)? Keeping in mind there will be tons of wobbly inexperienced riders wanting to take part.
Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbaneHmmm as posted eleswhere........
Genuine flood relief, or shallow marketing opportunity. you decide:
Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbaneIt's a shame that those of us who work for a living won't be able to attend. Why not just do it two days later on the public holiday?
For what it's worth:

Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbane
Yeah it is a shame a lot of people will be working and unable to make it
Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbaneNot the most well thought out meeting place or day or time, but from there I'd say over to Kelvin Grove Rd, Old Northern Rd, Strathpine, Lawnton, Petrie, Anzac Ave, Redcliffe waterfront, Brighton, Sandgate, Sandgate Rd. Perhaps over the Story Bridge and down Wynnum Rd to some bayside loop could be a good route.
It all seems a bit rushed and certainly would have been a great idea for Australia Day. Fortunately I have Monday off.
Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbaneI can not for the love of my life find where the sign on is on either of the websites?
Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbane
The start point probably has a lot to do with making sure only those that pay get to ride - no freeloaders tagging along. Route probably wont be made public for the same reason. Australia day would have been perfect for the ride. Sign up for the ride is here: http://www.moshtix.com.au/Event.aspx?id=44243
Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbaneRegistrations open at 10am tomorrow.

Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbaneImpromptu twitter ride my backside! How much of the donations are going to the Premiers Appeal with the way this has been organised? I knew BMW drivers had earned their reputation but the whole things just stupid!
If they held it on a Saturday and asked all those who turned up for coin donations they would double the amount taken. I garantee it! Shame Robbie. What the boss says goes?
Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbaneFrom my point of view, any money raised is better than none at all!
What if it is a marketing ploy? It was always going to look like it was, why, because they are high profile sportsmen, so they're doomed if they do and doomed if they don't! I don't suffer fools easily and so long as you have done your best, you should have no regrets.
Goal 6000km ![]()

Sponsorship is an amazing thing. If you don't do what the boss says, they stop sponsoring you. Figure that! Bad timing on their part, but good on them for doing something to help raise funds. Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbaneIt's 11am on a Monday.... to a destination unknown... Kinda makes it hard do plan...
Once you can climb hills on a bike it's all downhill.
Hopefully I'll know what that's like..... one day. ![]()
Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbaneIt's a 20km ride according to the idiot box last night.
Re: Possible Lance Armstrong Twitter ride brisbane
Well I guess 20k isn't really that far from the cbd. So at most it's a 40k ride. Once you can climb hills on a bike it's all downhill.
