Today's defining feature wasn't so much rain but that WIND  .

I would not have enjoyed being out in that, hopefully things settle down a bit tomorrow.

As much as I like riding in the rain I want it to stop so I can head out of town and enjoy some of the fantastic scenery that is on offer just outside of Brisbane and Ipswich http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/237323395

In other words, you did not stay up to see Simon Gerrans' momentous win the 3rd stage of the TdF ?

If I'd known that it was going to be bucketing down at 4am, maybe, got up to watch the highlights package, a good day for OGE!

Looking good for the next 2 weeks. I'm almost back on track to get my 10,000 kms for the year and a couple of weeks of good weather would help heaps.
It would not be at all strange if history came to the conclusion that the perfection of the bicycle was the greatest achievement of the nineteenth century.

It was very nice out around the bay today. Took advantage to add 141km, so I'm now only 80km behind where I should be to get my 10000km too :)

Might have to ride Nebo after work tomorrow night to beat the heat

It wasn't that hot earlier in the week. When I left home it was 26 but at the top of Glorious it was 14 degrees...... Ah well.

Woke up this morning to rain! after having weeks and weeks of beautiful weather the showers outside my window (on the gold coast) were a huge surprise. Luckily the forecast says it should pass in the next day or two *touches wood*

Was surprised I got a full dry ride in this morning, same as Saturday really.
Not often predictions of 60% chance of rain over 3hrs eventuate to nothing.

Got a little damp on the commute to work but my new mudguards did the trick of keeping me, my feet and the drivetrain clean :)
