At 4am the range is between 88 and 99% here this morning.

That must have been the worst weekend heatwave in recorded history.
2 consecutive days of extreme humidity and heat falling on a weekend !
Seems not to worry some people - those who like to live in an air-conditioned bubble.

Dog at Kangaroo Point yesterday found a better solution - go for a dip in the Brisbane river.
And did not get taken by a shark.

My solution was to go to the bar at Story Bridge Hotel.

Humidity was completely insane on the weekend and it was the only time on Sunday when I wished the so called weather guys would get their predictions right. We need some descent rain to cool off.

Even at 1 this morning (i was working night shift) it was still 28 and god knows what % humidity. Got my outside jobs done as quickly as possible and then straight back into the aircon. I've got some heavy lifting to do today, trying to time it for just before the storms come through, so it's not as hot but i'm not working in the rain.

I simply fell into my pool after my ride this morning.

Yep, I left at 4.25am today to try and beat it but it was like riding through porridge. Did 116klm and wanted to go for longer but the pool was beckoning. Rule #5 was over rode by the sub clause of rule #5.1a. If you can feel your organs melting, time to go float in a pool whilst drinking ice cold chocolate milk as a recovery drink! [emoji12]

7am the next day and no wind and no rain in Brisbane city yet.
Must be waiting for me to get on the bike and go for a ride.

I got a lift to work today. Getting in wouldn't have been a problem. My concern is getting home this arvo.

Took the bus this A.M.... sooo pissed it wasn't raining. Even skipped my regular Thursday bunch ride for fear of the weather.

It better be coming down hard this evening or i'll be right mad

I was thinking the same thing this morning, until I just saw the radar. No doubt the trains will be stuffed this afternoon, as they usually are when it rains

A work colleague is looking at buying my old road bike and he wants to try it for a week so the one way trip this morning worked out well

Two days ago, I was riding and my pool was in serious need of water top up (I didn't). Yesterday, no ride as the winds were seriously gusty and rain was on its way. Today, nothing needs to be said. [emoji299]️
