Ah cool, I think I've seen that, sometimes along Mt Nebo road you can see it over the edge down the hill a bit?

I think I posted a pic of this a few weeks back. It was the first batch of floods we had this year, and the cause was a full sized power pole that had been rammed directly into the upstream steel I-beam, which pushed the the downstream one off the supports (including breaking it out of the concrete). The decking went with it. The upstream beam stayed until a crane took it away. The downstream one was bent link a banana and they were hefty beams. Enterprising kids were using it to balance on across the creek to get to school.

A foot bridge was washed away at the back of stafford city by the previous floods. Well when I say that the bridge was ok but the creek bank on one side was gone.
I'm pretty sure it took nearly 6 months for the them to fix that.

Soaked again this morning on the commute in.
But never fear Brisbane commuters - I ordered some waterproof shoecovers online last night, so we will have 6 years of drought starting when they arrive.

Yep, my über dry rain jacket should be arriving on the front of that drought

+1. Did my bit to start a drought by buying a fluid trainer on the weekend.

Now we just need something done about the cyclonic winds......
If its not raining it's blowing a gale.

Problem with the wet weather gear ive tried is that in this current humid weather, im as wet underneath from sweat, as i am from outside rain.
Shoe guards are great though..... if i have dry feet, all is good with the world.

I'm also considering buying some shoe covers haha. As much as I want the rain to go away I want it to stay because of the cold

A cyclone is coming boys and girls. Time to buy that wet weather bike or a trainer and get as many kms while the sun is still sort of shining

And a rain jacket and some mud guards for your bike...then it's sure to stop raining
In the meantime my commuter bike will see more action

Coottha was not too bad this morning...
Looking to the south-east, most of Brisbane except Yeronga area was under cloud or rain.
Splendid example of a brisbane pothole here...
These photos were taken at around 7am, later on in the day traffic congestion was severe, in part due to the weather conditions.
