Brisbane Airport to Helensvale (near Movie world)

Hi all, not cycling related but Queensland related.
In the next couple of weeks I may have to get from Leeton to Helensvale via Brisbane Airport for a mercy dash.
In simple terms Sister living in Helensvale has Limited License (won't go in to details) work and back only.
Problem is she went jogging the other morning and fell while trying to avoid landing on her dog landed instead on wrist and broke it.
She wants to come down here but can't drive so the possible plan is for me to catch a plane to Brisbane and then by public transport get to her place so I can then drive her car down here for her. There in lies the problem, how do I get to Helensvale by public transport from the airport?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What day and times are you travelling to Helensvale?

Airtrain. Straight to Helensvale station. My wife has an Aunt that we stay with for Big Day Out etc who lives there.

The train.....

Catch the train from the airport and then onto the Gold Coast, there is a station at Helensvale..

Check out Translink for more info, train journey will take about 90mins, and there's no need to change trains either

From the train station it's not too far to Movie World, there might even be a bus from the station

Thanks for the info will check out the train timetables. Not sure when I'm going just yet as she is still in hospital.

Airtrain generally leaves ever 30mins from the Airport to the GC... I think it runs until around 6:30pm and then anyone arriving international or domestic after that are stuffed. Top public transport system ain't it!

http://translink.com.au/ is what you want to check and there is also an Airtrain Iphone App if you have one of those.

Helensvale is also my local Train station.. pretty easy to get to and there is quite a bit of public transport around it ..ie Buses/Cabs and for Pac Pines/Park Lake there is also "Your Bus" which is some bus they have roaming just those two suburbs cause normal buses don't go there?? Yeah.. that's also got me stuffed as it is only for those suburbs.
