End of my civil disobedience

For about the last five years, I've ridden past the "Cyclists must dismount" sign on the ramp at the Thornton st ferry at Kangaroo Point. I feel such a law-breaker.

Anyway - it's now a shared path! I need to find another misdemeanour. Maybe doing more than 10kph over the Goodwill Bridge

Has anyone ever seen anyone on that path NOT on a bike?

One could well says, "What were they thinking ?"

I sometimes think cycling "infrastructure" projects are designed by Engineers on their first project out of Uni.
Still adjusting to the real world. :|

I gave up on that little path. Now I continue all the way to the point and then do the 'climb' up Main Street back to near Thornton Street. Adds a bit of distance to the commute and avoids that slippery little path.
I used to do that - I've seen too many people collected on that right hand turn into Main St.

"Cyclists must dismount" sign holds no weight in Queensland...jury is still out if it's black text or a roadworks yellow background though...

In QLD, even if the sign exists, you can just move to the left or right of the crossing of the ride straight across the road.
