Re: Another courier mail article asking cyclist to keep it dSo since I am not a member of BQ, I can ignore the request, but modtly because it is pathetic. Would they prefer the sounds of sirens as ambos have to scrape cyclists off the road because cyclists didn't communicate the dangers of the roads to each other. Where do these dangers come from moron motorists off course. Just another Spam Fail beat up I'm afraid. Though I can understand being upset with megpone use, that is just silly.
Life is not about waiting for the rain to pass.....it's about learning to dance (or ride) in the rain.

+1 What else would you expect from a Qld newspaper? How else is it going to survive in a market choc-a-block with retirees and assorted silver backs?
Re: Another courier mail article asking cyclist to keep it dAs far as for the cyclist concerned if the council would fix the roads then we would have no need to call out for pot holes on the road while riding. If motorists would be sensible drivers and speeds re-inforced And a 1 meter distance kept beetwen cyclist and cars there would be no need to call out for cars (or not that often anyway).
Looks like the only one breaking the law here is the rowing training using the megaphone by not obeying the noise restriction regulation here

As someone else mentioned in the comments, this is only going to get worse. Remember, Australia is an ageing nation. This means more old people with nothing better to do than complain about cyclists trying to be safe on the road while having a morning ride. Those oldies are awake at the crack of dawn anyway, don't know what their problem is.Nothing better to do except whinge and complain I guess. I thought the next thing you were going to say was that older cyclists with poorer hearing will be yelling louder than ever to warn of road obstacles. You can just imagine it. Henry.." CAR BACK" Cedric.."yeah she did have a nice rack" Henry.."POT HOLE" Cedric.."don't call my wife a mole" Gas propulsion.......it's natural don't fight it.

Well.. that's also going to be an issue.. imagine that. Packs of 'over 55' cyclists terrorizing the quiet suburbs. It's good to be young and get to watch all this unfold. Check out my practical cycling and cycle touring website: VELOPHILE AUSTRALIA

Mr. Dorian Gray, I presume? Kym
All manner of half finished projects and a bit of randonneuring I used to be tech-savvy. Now I'm just tech-weary.
Re: Another courier mail article asking cyclist to keep it d
Abso-lutely. But what I really meant to say was that it is good to be young now at the dawn of major social, political, economic and environmental changes and be able to watch it all unfold over the next few decades. Check out my practical cycling and cycle touring website: VELOPHILE AUSTRALIA

Good to see Ben Wilson and his grumpy old men doing FA for cycling advocacy yet again. Can someone again tell me why I don't hold a BQ membership? Because I can't see the point in being a member of an organisation that frowns upon anything cycling that doesn't involve knee high socks and handlebar baskets. Maybe BQ should change their name to BS. Or better yet, B-CM
Re: Another courier mail article asking cyclist to keep it d
They sure were, and that's when we did have massive changes, especially socially and economically. Now for round two! Check out my practical cycling and cycle touring website: VELOPHILE AUSTRALIA
Re: Another courier mail article asking cyclist to keep it dWell as long as BQ stay in the sixties where they belong I'm happy to move forward
