End of my ride across Australia for the Heart Foundation.

Hi Everyone

Amazingly, my bike ride across Australia - from Scarborough in Western Australia to Scarborough Queensland is almost at an end!!

Hard to believe I have biked just over 4200 kms and only have about 300 to go.

On Tuesday 10th May I will be biking from somewhere near Ipswich to Scarborough on the Redcliffe Peninsula.

Not sure of the exact route at the moment but I will sure it up over the next 24 hours!!

I do know for the northern side I will pretty much go up Sandgate Road, then on the bike paths alongside the Hornibrook Highway and across the Ted Snout bridge. Then follow the waterfront around the Redcliffe Peninsula and "finish" at the Scarborough sign in Landsborough Road at 2:00 pm.

Hi Everyone

My big adventure, cycling across Australia raising funds for the Heart Foundation has been completed!!

I now look at a map of Australia a whole lot differently!!

It was the fulfillment of a dream, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have updated my website to reflect what actually happened, as I did have to make some alterations here and there for various reasons!!

My fund-raising pages will remain open for another couple of months so that people can show their support by making a donation to the Heart Foundation.

After 7 weeks of solid cycling, I am now trying to get my running legs back!!!

In later years you'll look back on this and think, that was one really good thing that I did to try and make a difference to people with problems. I know that's how I view my ride for Cancer research back in 79/80 with another bloke. (Ipswich to Cairns)
