Look... this is just an idea.. but who is up for a Brisbane meetup? If you're keen, post up ideas! My idea would be to meet at the Boardwalk bar by the river. We could meet from 4 on a Friday.. have a drink or two. They do dinner but also make totally mean wedges. There is ample bike parking resting up against the fence next to the river. If people are keen pick a date and book a table. They get busy on a Friday so we'd have to book a little way out. Thursdays are much quieter if there is any interest. What about the 1st of July?

I'm up for it, but wouldn't be able to attend that early in the day. Perhaps sometime after 1830? Or a weekend?

Ok... I sort of saw it as a rolling thing. Like not everyone would be there from that early but people could just turn up when they finished work. It is probably more handy for those that work in the CBD. Doesn't mean we can't do it on the weekend, or indeed have two!

I'm keen. Just name the time and the place and I'll be there on some sort of bike

Happy to meet, though weekend mornings are more relaxed. AC and I have talked about getting the Nundah and BBTA groups to synch a ride one weekend. Both do similar rides at similar times.

@Kenzo and everybody... I just plucked that date out of my date so if you've got any suggestions put it up! We would need two weeks notice to book a table if we want a Friday. @Winston... I sort of saw this as an opportunity for more of a meet up rather than a ride. There is ample bike parking there though so I know I'll be getting there on the bike. How else would you get into the cbd?

I'm away for all of the school holidays and am always happy to meet more like minded commuter cyclist nutters.

Who's for a new rule for the event? RULEZ for Brisbane meet up. 1. NO LYCRA ALLOWED. 2. No fluorescent clothing.. let's aim to look like a bunch of normal people! 3. You must arrive on a bicycle or velomobile (note - no restrictions on wheel size apply!) Any more RULEZ?

Haha See you there! I guess one of the advantages of this bike is that I doubt anyone would consider stealing it!

I like this. It would be nice if other people around us can't work out who the bikes belong to.

More potential rules: - extra points for arriving by CityCycle - bonus points for keeping your CityCycle parked for more than 30 minutes

Hey, I'm in. Rules are good, but... let's aim to look like a bunch of normal people!
I suppose we could try. I'm no help on narrowing a date or time either sorry. oh, one more, Paul must be on/in his mango.

Sorry, appreciate that. Just thinking out loud. Suppose I can always row down the river with the crew.

Do we have concencus for 1st of July ? Boardwalk Bar sounds good, i am not familiar with that end of town but it should be good. for me no chance of being there at 4, but might be able to be there soon after 5. no doubt by that time the rest of you will be well lubricated. P.S. Yongkun. Uni exams will be finished by the 1st of July.
Recent Favorite rides: December -TUMBULGUM to TOMEWIN by some obscure route-can't wait to do it again !!!

1st of July is fine for me, date-wise, but I'd be lucky to make it anytime before 1800.
Just how close are the bike racks to the actual establishment?
