Why not ride "between" a northside coffee-shop (eg Blackwood Rd Mitchelton) and a southside coffeeshop (eg Logan Road, Holland Park or Mt Gravatt).
Bu the southsiders can start at the latter and ride an away leg with the northsiders on their return leg
Yes. It has the promise of novelty :D. Do you have a good route?
Here's a possible route:
Start: coffee shop Blackwood Rd, (near brookside shopping complex)
.......KBB to Uxbridge St
.......Uxbridge St, Sellheim St, lanham St, Inglis St, Olney St.
.......Kedron Brook Rd, noble St, Fagan Rd bridge, Aberleigh St, Herston Rd,
.......bike path onto Gregory Tce, Countess Street, North Quay.
....... kurilpa bridge, Grey St, Stanley St, Annerley Rd,Park Rd.
........exit off Park Rd onto SE Fway bike path for a short run and exit O'Keefe St. To a coffee shop somewhere on Logan Rd at Stones Corner. :?
And minor variations in the reverse direction, probably via Parklands Av in Roma St Parklands going north?

Sorry to be the naysayer, but I won't be joining that option. I'm at Acacia Ridge, and I know others here who expressed interest are similarly distant, so drive in or drive out isn't in my preferred list :)

Hence my suggestion of a central location that all might get to to start from.

Well if you want to start at Epic then northside riders can swing by and meet you at Epic.

that would give us an 80 km/hr descent of Hale street, we take the Caxton St exit, ride beside Suncorp Stadium onto the pedestrin bridge over milton road, do a sneaky turn onto Baroona road and Bob's your uncle !

 Or just rendezvous at KING WALLY ?

Thinking aloud here, if meeting location was Roma Street Parklands or South brisbane then some of us will have the option of getting to the meeting place using Mitchelton to Beenleigh train line on Sunday.....
(but then again, King Wally is just down the road from where i live)

I can be there at 1pm, or later but not before, as advised here.
Did a quick spin from suncorp to KBB this morning about 23 mins. Went past some interesting coffees shops on Pedron Brook Toad, but am happy to let the group decide direction and destination

I'll be there in my BNA jersey. I've convinced one of my riding buddies to come along. That makes two in the slowpoke group :D

Haven't you read the above posts little munga.

Everyone is meeting in a central location then radiating out like spokes on a wheel to various locations to have a warm drink of brown mud made from some sheila called Gloria.

Listen to your uncle Zep now will ya !!

Where are we going again ??

Or maybe a shortened river loop across the UQ green bridge and then onramp to the SE Freeway bikeways at O'Keefe Street to return to suncorp via city ???

Will be reaaaaally super if Cadel can deliver us the big win tonight.

I'd be happy with that - given it starts getting dark at around 1630, and I still need to ride home afterwards.

See you all there this arvo :D

I'm a maybe this afternoon now - had a family morning tea set for 10 am - now pushed back to 11 am. Is there some consensus over which route the group will ride? I'm still keen to come, so pending the time, I might have to pick upo the bunch somewhere between my place and City (along the river loop).
