What really annoys me is that the taxpayer will be funding most of the council & government delegates. What a bargain...
My thoughts too....sponsored by 3 local council areas, paid for by my rates

The other thing that really angers me about the pricing is that
no ordinary member of the public will be able to afford to attend... such a missed opportunity.
The cynic in me has also noticed that the logo for the conference is a sporty bicycle helmet (why not just a bicycle?) and that delegates all get a free one emblazoned with their logo. This is an inaugural event and I wonder if it is a way to 'close ranks' on certain issues pertaining to bicycle safety & legislation given the increased media attention on the topic, what with CityCycle & all... They're even getting delegates onto CityCycle bicycles...
OK... that's quite enough from me!
