Perhaps we could arrange a southsider's bunch river loop for one Sunday morning, with a couple of weeks notice?

Weekends may be a Parkinson to Redcliffe and back by home via logan, kingston and browns plains roads. This is a 150 or so km ride. Or an easier Parkinson to city, river Loop and back home via logan, kingston and browns plains roads - about 100ks.
I am out rain or shine if interested - though I am generally out the door by 5am leaving plenty of time left in the day.
PM me if interested.

I also live in Parkinson and would be keen on this next Sunday I will PM yourself and Wazza as to start time and where to meet. Most of my riding is the commute to and from Brisbane Airport so Distance is no problem with me.schurms wrote:I am at Parkinson and ride everyday. Week day is work commutes to the city and weekends more fitness rides.

Schurms what bike do you ride? We may have pssed each other at some stage as there is not a lot of cyclist in our area. I ride a carbon black Felt F5.

My weekender is a Red Baum, my weekday commuter is a black specialized Epic. Most days I am out the door at 5am. I generally don't see anyone else out this way either.heay wrote:Schurms what bike do you ride? We may have pssed each other at some stage as there is not a lot of cyclist in our area. I don't commute as I work locally but do a couple of training loops during the week city and back and Saturday morning when I can (usually have to be back home by 8:30am due to work) but Sunday is very free in terms of cycling.
I am planning to do a Wellington loop this Sunday from forest lake if anyone is interested to tag along or be picked ip along the way.
Nice and cruisy with a distance of about 100km from here and pace from 28-30km / hour if that suits people

However Sunday looks good for me so far.....i was wanting to do a Richlands / Wello point / Cleaveland loop soon anyway.
28 - 30k/h is good for me too.
Will keep an eye on thread this week and let you know towards the end of the week.

Schurms would you be interested in the above ride to Wello on Sunday morning if Le Velo and and Stoo don't mind us tagging along? We could perhaps meet somewhere central and make a time? Is this ok Le Velo and Stoo?schurms wrote:My weekender is a Red Baum, my weekday commuter is a black specialized Epic. Most days I am out the door at 5am. He might even fit you up for them seeing as you bought the bike there.

Planning to leave forest lake at 6am then pick up whoever on the way pending on the route.
Open to other suggestions also but prefer to do the long rides on Sundays

Any bike shop should sell shoes and CLEATS. The first pair i got were shimano and i think the shoes cost me just $100.....they were not flash but they did the job.sean-b wrote:When i get cycle fit i will join your sunday loop as my avg is about 25km and my max distance is around 60km.
