This 7 minute film is fantastic and explains very concisely some of the things that the Dutch have done to become of the premier cycling nations.

For those interested in creating a little bit of ‘Dutch cycling chic in Brisbane’ please come along to Lazy Sunday Cycle

· Sunday 6 November
· Meet at Brett’s Wharf City Cat Terminal (on the footpath on Kingsford Smith Drive next to the cycle parking pod)

· 9.30am ish for a 10am start
· Cycle rides will range in distance from 6km to 20km depending on who wants to cycle where and for how long!

Lazy Sunday Cycle is a ‘crowd sourced’ event aimed at anyone and everyone who wants to ride a bicycle for fun; enthused and confident cyclists, people who are ‘interested but a little bit concerned’ about cycling, people who just want to get out there and have a go at cycling and people who want to cycle with other people. It’s aimed at everyone and anyone; young people, old people, families with children with stabilizers, people with fancy bikes and people with cargo bikes and people with bikes with baskets!
Despite being on ABC National Radio today we are really struggling to make these events viable… as in only 3 people came to the last one L so please prevent a great initiative ‘dying in a ditch’ by passing this email around to everyone you know who might be a wee bit interested!!

Thank you
