Hi,

I've recently moved to Brisbane from the UK. Over the last month or so, I have been buying parts to build up a road bike.

Can anyone recommend a decent bike builder / LBS in the city?

Not exactly what you are looking for, but this guy might be able to help or know where to go,Bicycle Stu.

Otherwise I've heard there is a bike store out western suburbs way that allows customers to work on their own bikes, and has a mechanic handy to lend a hand/offer advice. Not sure which one or where it is, though Jindalee rings a bell.

Hi,

The place in the Western Suburbs, called Cycle Skills is on 17 Mile Rocks Road, at Sinamon Park near Jindallee. James the Mechanic is an Englishman and a good mechanic.

+1 .... Have used the bike shed services myself and can vouch for the convenience or just being to have access to a full equipped bench with all the tools and their mechanic (James) is on site to assist you with help if you need.

Are you after a hand made frame?
LLewellyn Bikes is the only one I know of in Bris. He does very nice work.

Thanks for your replies so far.

I was looking more for a LBS or bike builder, rather than building it myself or having one custom built.

I have the frame and all the components and am looking for someone who can just put it all together.

Any suggestions of a LBS in Brisbane, handy at putting a high end road bikes together (BMC Teammachine SLR01 with BB30 and Ultegra), would be great.
