Cairns wet season

Postby Bugsy » Mon Jan 16, 2012 9:19 pm

With the wet season finally starting in Cairns, is a leather saddle suitable or should I opt for something synthetic?
Cheers

Use a saddlebag? Your bum protects the top. Plastic shopping bag when the bike is parked will do the trick.

What do you reckon about the underneath, Bill? It is on my racing bike so no guards. It has had a coat of Proofride.

If it's a brooks or similar I'd really pick something else - without mudguards it's gonna get soggy, proofide or no.

That's what the saddlebag is for
I never had a problem with the clone saddle on me old OCR when I commuted on that but it wasn't doing much raining down here at the time.
