How MB Cycle bunches annoy other ridersLook don't get me wrong, Marcel is a nice guy, but strewth the groups riding under his banner can be MIGHTY annoying!
I'm sure the ride captains feel stressed, what with so many dentists & orthodontists riding Pinarellos and talking about Campbell & Lisa Newman's business arrangements to marshal around. I wish the ride captains would just lay off abusing the pairs or single riders that get caught trying to overtake/get out of the way of the cycling version of a Panzer Division. I might be unfair singling the MB groups out, but in the western suburbs they seem to be the main offenders. Ha ha! Cookies on dowels.
Re: How MB Cycle bunches annoy other ridersOoooh Popcorn. I mentioned the behaviour of these guys and the Zupps rides last year and World War 3 broke out. I agree 110% VF. This is gonna get mighty sticky

Re: How MB Cycle bunches annoy other ridersNot just in the western suburbs either, there is a fair sized bunch that rides out Logan Rd to Mt Gravatt on a Tuesday morning....they only appeared when the weather warmed up...not a single sight of them, or the Boom Time bunch for that matter, over the winter months
After going faithfully to Mt G every week right through winter, I felt like 'my' Mt G was overtaken once spring arrived Lisa
Re: How MB Cycle bunches annoy other ridersCan't say I've ever had an issue with MB bunches, though don't run into them often. And the Zupps guys have never been an issue. Joined them once for 10 km and they didn't ride offensively.
But then, there's also dills who get p1$$ed off at bunches that ride 2 abreast tight and predictably on the Hornibrook Bridge or KBB. A tad neurotic methinks.
Re: How MB Cycle bunches annoy other ridersZupps, Telstra & BoomTime crews are all fine. They ride well and coming across them isn't like taking on a Panzer Division or a 1000m long road train.

Re: How MB Cycle bunches annoy other ridersThe main thing that annoys me is how fast they are and how slow I am
Re: How MB Cycle bunches annoy other riders
True that, Lisa
Re: How MB Cycle bunches annoy other ridersActually there was a really good MB group out this morning. Kept it tight around the corners and kept formation in the hill as we went past. There were only 8 of them I think, but much more pleasant to share the road with.

Re: How MB Cycle bunches annoy other riders
I'm sure they mean no disrespect, I know they don't like "random" riders sitting in the middle of their bunches but this is for safety reasons as the skill level of the "random" is unknown and their riders I know are well trained with calls and group communications. Randoms would be more than welcome to sit on. I've ridden with them before and they call so much stuff its almost comical but safety first Our Website is: http://www.pro-liteoz.com Find us on Facebook by searching for "Pro-Lite Australia"

Re: How MB Cycle bunches annoy other riders
Don't worry - "horses*?t" turns up in the CBD on Saturday mornings courtesy of the QPS horses. Usually in George St, outside the Treasury Casino. Sometimes it's difficult to distinguish from the patrons (AT) 5am. Ha ha! Cookies on dowels.
