Despite the week of rainy nearly non commuting disappointment, Steve and myself managed a bit of a ramble thru Red Hill, Newmarket, Ballymore, Brekky Creek & Ascot on Saturday and was only lightly sprinkled on. I found out later that Dan & Wazza engaged in quite a bit of hill climbing out the back of Samford which likely would have killed me, as i'm built for comfort, not for speed.
Fingers crossed for some better weather next time. It's great checking out new places in Brissie, as i usually ride bayside from Wynnum to the city & to the southeast, to Carindale, Mt Gravatt, Wishart, Chandler and as far as Rochedale.

Ten points if you can identify the following view from the ride;

Ding! we have a winner, that's the top of Blair St, at the bus stop.

While deciding where to ride at 6.40am after waiting for anyone else to turn up, Steve suggested a ride thru a bit of the northside and promised me that the route was *fairly* flat...
Steve, I think was taking it easy in front while ascending the hill up Crosby Rd, Massey St, then Blair St, while i was trying not to burst a vessel.
All good though and there were some nice long descents to make up for it, which due to my superior weight advantage meant i could overtake Steve without even pedaling.
