Good ride today, no crashes, 3 loose rear wheels (bloody campy stuff), uploading the videos to you tube (always take freakin hours), will edit a link in later. Just about to chuck a front tyre at the drug cheat & ring vaeske to see if he's up for a ride to Redcliffe. Chat good, coffee fair, riding excellent. Since the sun is up earlier, more walkers/joggers/strollers are around, we are switching to a 6am start from next week, so if you ride retro, or are into retro bikes (I'm sure one of us can nick enough money out of your wallet to sell you a retro bike or sufficient parts that you can build your own) then come & join us outside the Melbourne Hotel, West End one Saturday morning. Space left for links to the you tube videos .... Nice work guys!
I ride 25s on the basis that they divide more easily into 100 than 23s.

Thanks Vaeske for coming for an afternoon ride out to Redcliffe, it we had of organised it earlier we could have gone over to wazza's place & drink all his beer. Yep I worked out it was just over 100kms, bit extra for moi, told you 100 is easy peasy when you don't think about it. Bike loaded in car for tomorrow's Redlands Classic, found that I'd dropped a bolt out of the LH cleat, which was why my leg may have looked at a weird angle at times, all fixed now (I hope), ready to rock. Have to talk to munga & the others about the plan to do a Redcliffe ride & maybe a Manly ride one weekend, plans & discussions to come later.

I didn't go into a crazy bidding war over the Panasonic, so I'm still looking for a frame to replace the Superlite on commuting (no wait, next bike build) duties. Anyone have anything floating around? 55TT/ideally 57ST - vaeske it'll most likely be Shimano, so as much as I'd like to relieve you of the Somec, it may be sacrilegious.

in the "the frame doesn't fit so pass it around" thread in retro section if you're interested. owner is northside. owner is also coming along for a raturday in the near future.

Hey Dan, do you want to borrow the Vantage until you find something, it's serviced & running (I was actually going to use it this week to commute on instead of the Kenetic), give me a yell, it's sitting here otherwise.

I've got the Superlite in the meantime Wal, it'll be fine until I find something more suitable. I suspect that will happen in the not too distant future

Hi guys, Wazza let me know that some of you may be able to help me out with a retro set up. If any of you have something for sale that would suit someone about 6"2' it'd be great if you could swing me a PM. I've already been in contact with Wal and am still considering what he has (thanks again for the pm, Wal).

I'm starting to think that getting a complete set would be best for now as I wouldn't really know how to put it all together/which parts to source. Thoughts?

I suspect that between the five or six of us we could virtually (as in theoretically) together a bike tonight for you....
