Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :D
Ahh, Browning Street. It's all becoming clearer. Tony
Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :D
Tony, there's loads of free street parking directly at the start point on browning street - either side of the street. There's also the carpark for the Melbourne over on edmonstone.
Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :DI'll also bring a few jerseys I've acquired over the past weeks - some too large, one too small (arguably - it is italian) if anyone is interested.
Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :DI might be interested in the jerseys. I've got a couple of frames and some bits (plus that seatpost for waz or wal whoever it is) in the car. Was up til midnight servicing my Mercier and Scott

Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :D
Bits are what I need. 27.2 seatpost, bars, short stem (i.e. 60mm) so I can get this blue thing going
Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :D
Just had a look at the thread for that bike, and i have a couple of 3ttt bars and 1 maybe 2 stems, hopefully 1 of them will be the right length for you. Pretty sure i've got a few posts too, i'll have a look before i head for the big smoke this evening. When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments- Elizabeth West.

I twisted my ankle at work yesterday, so although not painful to cycle, I'll stick with ya & be ya riding buddy (gives me an excuse to take it a little easy on the ankle). Everybody wearing their jersey's??????? Also, did I get the seat???????? (Somebody knows what I'm talking about).
Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :D
Tony, we meet outside the Melbourne Hotel, or across the road from it, which is at the very (western) end of Browning Street. I'm usually 5 minutes late, but the others are always there at 6. Park on the street - it's free, and readily available at 6am. Just be wary of the fixie kids that meet around there too.W are easy to spot - we don't wear jeans. internet experts: ruining bikes since '10 | http://www.redbubble.com/people/munga

Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :DSee ya in the morning, better wear ya sunnies, the knicks I'm wearing tomorrow are colourful.
Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :D
I'm gonna bust out some colour too.
Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :DWell another Raturday run (& won????)-
munga made it around despite his bronchitis. dan looked resplendid in his colourful jersey. dan's mate redrover3 (there ya go munga, sorry mate I wasn't aware of your forum name) rode a very pretty bike (look for it in the video) Idr had a spring break in his rear derailleur on his bike (was amusing for us watching him do the cyclo-cross run jobby on the last few big climbs, well funny for us, not sure how he felt about it.) elantra once again showed me how well he goes up anything resembling a slope (and how freaking bad I am at doing the same). we also had Zynster on his Coppi along again. And yours truly (Mr Pottymouth) slowing everyone else down by lagging behind on anything looking remotely like an upwards slope. Also the soccer hooligans were present, blowing their little soccer whistle/horn thingie (ya bugger dan, took my farkin' soccer horn & rode off with it) But all in all a good morning was had by most. Here's todays video's-- Number 1 http://youtu.be/J4UECrYX-ZI Number 2 http://youtu.be/P8yVzNJTXmc Number 3 http://youtu.be/ZuL4aHlN2i4 Number 4 http://youtu.be/ijolN5ZPoCU Number 5 http://youtu.be/LBaM_7pzLdE Number 6 http://youtu.be/bmjYCrUju4o Number 7 http://youtu.be/J-KFGEY41xI Number 8 http://youtu.be/vshI6iX4A3Y Number 9 http://youtu.be/5bUlZh_WWCo Number 10 http://youtu.be/U3A5kklR9m8 Number 11 http://youtu.be/gi4oQ3D9XPs Number 12 http://youtu.be/-0-yssh0ePE Number 13 http://youtu.be/OaLd5ux2CqY Number 14 http://youtu.be/gutiCWCU9_E Number 15 http://youtu.be/k8cdGjceXGE Number 16 http://youtu.be/BUuDwMrGFjM Number 17 http://youtu.be/Zo6_GeItmCQ Number 18 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia5VJ75vWDI&feature=plcp All video's are now up & running. Also had an incident a bit later in the day, when I got home I decided my legs weren't quite burnt out yet, so grabbed the EPO bike & went for another ride, going along Eatons Crossing Road I felt a shudder from the back of the bike, I just thought I'd run over a bit of loose tar (if you've ridden that road you will know how bad the surface is), about a minute or so later I realised that the backs of my legs were wet, a ute (white with aluminium tray, Toyota I think) had just past me, I'm assuming that someone in the ute may have thrown a bottle of water or similar at me, I'm guessing it hit the seat stay. Wasn't wearing the cam as it was downloading (unfortunately otherwise I'd be giving it to the cops), so if you ride around this area just be a little aware (not that you can see behind you!), I'm now thinking about mounting the little camera facing backwards on the helmet, just in case this sort of garbage ever happens again. Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :D
The broken spring-very frustrating, but the ride in general, the company, and the cross training? FANTASTIC! (can't wait to see the video My little adventure down to Canungra was literally jaw dropping, the scenery and riding is mind blowing. 34 degrees and a headwind on the way up didn't make it any easier but what an amazing ride. Busy uploading photos and gps stuffs now. When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments- Elizabeth West.

Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :DThanks for the ride today guys. Sorry I had to leave without having a coffee with you all. My youngest daughter's birthday and I had drop her and her friends off at the movies. Sounds like a tough ride up to O"Reilly's Lochie. Tamborine is about my limit but, with a bit of encouragement from another rider, who knows? I will join you for Raturdays whenever I am able.

Re: Retro Riverloop Raturdays :DSo I think there will be a few regulars absent this Raturday-
Waz is still away (moi thinks), vaeske is still cultivating melanoma's in the north, Dan is away down south (freezing his wheel nuts off), moi will be ever present (with Mr Pottymouth), I think munga is coming (work permitting), Anyone else? Not sure on elantra & redrover3 ldr may have thoughts about coming again (we break his bike for him). Stick ya hand up if you are going. Cheers, ya bunch of bums.
