Street view photos are from 2010 unfortunately. I imagine it probably will look different now.

All good. I might detour onto Beerburrum Rd or Old Landsborough Rd if it looks too rough. Trying to avoid traffic thats all.

This is my ride for giving ride back in March which has Landsborough to Caboolture so you could reverse this...all sealed roads and was low traffic on the day.
Unsure if it helps

Information for other riders:

Old Gympie Road is fine to ride (traffic-wise) north to Caloundra. No dramas.

But if you want keep your momentum, best avoid the gravel sections - description below. Use Beerburrum Road instead.

Gravel section from SMITHS ROAD to TWIN VIEW ROAD

Actually very ride-able on a road bike with 23mm tyres. Very scenic and makes for nice photo ops. Only one creek crossing with a concrete culvert.
I had no problems here. Looks alot like this (photos are an example):

Gravel section from TWIN VIEW ROAD to BEERBURRUM-WOODFORD ROAD

Oh dear please avoid. Barely passable on a bike (some walking involved). CX or MTB only really.
It is worse at the Northern end so you if coming from the South, you have to make a choice to push on or turn back for Twin View Rd.
It is pretty much a 4x4 track with many ruts, sand traps, wide mud pools and rock banks.
Not sure how I made it thru with out a puncture but the bike was filthy afterwards (sorry bike!)

Sections look like this (photos are an example):

Annnnd my bike looked like this afterwards....
