The only thing that democracy has given the world is corruption. Nice ideas are nice, but where's the back hander coming from? That's the real question.

I was born here and have always lived here. This city has gone from a great load of crown land with the odd house and everything any other city had to offer and is now a filthy hole run by self interested masonic, subjective pagan halfwhits. Sort of like the people that elected them.

I don't mean to jump on you for putting forward logical questions, but if you lived here and saw this beautiful place turn in to the pile of crap that it is today before your very eyes, you'd understand my frustration.

The only thing that lies ahead for Brisbane is the pit.

Why not 3 new train tunnels?

Because people who vote drive cars (mostly) and think the government is doing them a favour by promising to build better underground car parks - er - road tunnels.

If they announced 3 new train tunnels, I'd be the one asking why not build one decent bike transportation system for 1/20 the cost?

The offical reason why the North South Bypass tunnel is not a combined Road rail tunnel is because the gradients on the tunnels are to steep. Personally I find these arguements are a load of S**T.

That said Brisbane does need a new Rail tunnel throught the CBD because the CBD is reaching capacity during peak hour.

I dunno 'bout that Donald, what sorta grade are they talking? There's a lot of safety issues to consider with tunnels too.

For that matter, what suburban rollingstock are you using up there?

If the entrance to the tunnel is too steep the carriages can get out of control and hit the horses in the back of the legs causing them to fall down and be run over by the carriage.

Thanks Donald, should be able to handle most suburban grades. Mind you, the citylink tunnels are too steep for our sparks. Hmmm, wonder when the next critical mass tunnel run is...mmm speed.
