They're coming. It's all about timing.

Well I decided to go with some of the group on a MTB ride on the beach. Sounded good in theory  but I'm developing to much power and broke the chain.

Bloody windy again here. :(

I took my Rapallo out for a run this morning and forgot how good the old wheels roll. Only trouble was, I broke a spoke on the way home and my bum was wobbling all over the place. Now that's a mental image I bet you wish you were told about.

It was bloody windy. Try riding into that, on a commute to work, trying to keep up with Dan Brown, who wasn't even trying

Beautiful day again.

Almost clocked the century this morning but most importantly, I'm happy with the averages for the main sections and the fact that I finally hit 54kmh in the sprint. Just need to work harder to reach 58kmh by the end of the year. :D

Wet ride to the Island and then only the wind to contend for the rest of the ride. :)

Saturday is the slow ride day, so as to encourage the new and slower riders to join us but we have some good hit outs on different segments of the ride but always making sure to regroup.

Very disappointed with my average in the Tri this morning but I gave all I had and nothing was left in the tank. :( Gotta be happy with that, don't ya? Nah not me, I'm not interested in being content with giving everything I have, I want results.

No ride yesterday due to being very fatigued after the week at work. :(

Not Bribie but hooked up with two of my best mates from the Ipswich Club for a good ride. :D

A good roll up this morning and my first ride on my truck bike (Avanti Pista fixie) with 81" gear. :) The mob gave me some stick along the logging track (4klm) and me speechless at the end but I guess at an average of 40kmh and top speed of 49.7kmh  there was going to be plenty of hurt. Nice effort mate. Bribie is made for fixed gear riding. In the distant past I did a few bike legs of various Bribie tri's on the fixie. Smashed it with near 40kmhr averages.

Why the 81" gear though? No spare sprockets? I have an 18 or 19 lying around somewhere. They would go well with a 49/50 tooth ring.

Nice hipster flat bars by the way

I put the 81 on so that it will make my legs work for strength but will put a ratchet on the other side with either 72" or 76" for any hilly areas I go to but most of my work takes me to reasonably flat areas.

The bars came off an old MTB so that I didn't need to buy new brake levers.
