Thanx mate, I'll let him know for sure now. You guys were just that bit too fast for us this morning as Nick and I were trying to get Amanda's speed up a bit as the daughter was at her mate's place and not riding. Amanda is keen to join in on the Bribie rides now, but the 10yo still has to pick up the pace by maybe 3-4km/h yet. She can sit on 22-23 but really needs to be able to do 26-27, she'll get there soon enough.

All good mate. When they are ready, we leave from Sports First at 6.30am, that's opposite the information centre.

Been doing some efforts on the rides over the last few weeks, seeing as I can't get the Ks that I need to make a real difference. :( Also had one of the top Masters riders in the country that has been having a bit more of a go on the last couple of rides and I have enjoyed just sittin 6" off his back wheel and tryin to stay there.

You guys are going nice and quick. Those roads on Bribie are worth a few km/h over ours I reckon, that hotmix is so nice and smooth, even that construction road is better than some of our Beachmere roads. Campbell Grind is the most appropriately named strava segment, even Olivia the 10yo gets to the end of Campbell Parade and says "I tried to go faster dad and this road just slowed me down". I'm going to try her on Bribie and see if she will step back up to a 30km loop like she used to do when she was 8 (with a bit of complaining of course)

Had a good hard ride on Sunday after the crit, last Saturday. Seeing as I can't get the Ks in that I want, :( I'm adjusting the type of riding that I do on the rides.

The wind was 35kmh - 50kmh this morning and made for interesting lines when slammed from the side.

Surprise surprise, it's blowing harder today and made life interesting on the bike. Think that I would prefer hills to this wind for the same benefit.

You were keen riding in that wind over the weekend Foo, I abandoned the bike and windsurfed all weekend instead. Wind has dropped back this morning and I had a day off so I went for a Beachmere lap with the wife once the munchkin headed off to school. Absolutely beautiful autumn riding conditions with a 5-10kn breeze off the bay and cool with a bit of cloud cover. Lovely.

After missing last weekends rides, I was happy to stay on the Island and just spin with the slower riders this morning. Fatigue levels are not great but just spinning with the group was still enjoyable.

Perfect temp for riding at the moment. The legs were pretty dead this morning, so I just gave the others a lead out for the sprint. :)

Howdy Foo, Nick said he enjoyed the surf club ride this morning with you guys. I ended up over your way too with the kid and the wife for a mother's day lap but we stuck to the calm side and pushed the little girl's lap out to 29km which was good. She loved the smooth roads on Bribie but hated the cobblestone paving up past Cosmos park and averaged around 20km/h including two drinks stops so I'm pretty happy with her riding for a 10yo.

Ah, so that was ya mate, that you told me about a while ago. He's welcome to come anytime, Paddles.

The cobbles are a bit different to ride on but can be avoided. That's a good average for the youngin. 8)

Yeah, Nicko's keen, he rode up to Caboolture from New Farm with his mate via Scarborough yesterday morning and was keen to back it up with a ride with you guys because he was over at Woorim with the in-laws. I'm pretty happy with the girl stepping up the km and the pace a bit, it means Amanda and I get a good ride with her now too.

Someone had had a word in his ear about me and said that he was glad I was there to grab a good wheel to sit with the wind. I'll give him a hurry up in the sprint next time, if my legs are good.

A top morning for a ride. The hip area was pretty tight, after the Nundah Crit yesterday. :(

The legs weren't to bad after yesterdays race at Nundah. The winds were back again today, so it was hill climbing without the hills again.

Nice cool morning for a ride, with the wind not real angry yet. Only spun nice an easy this morning as I have the Track meet at Chandler this afternoon. 8)

5c this morning when I headed out at 7am. :) The body was still hurt from yesterdays Track meet and the spin this morning did not ease it off. :(
