Sydney's Hills area (Parramatta through Windsor) is a fantastic area to ride, and I'd love to see more organised "big rides" out there to support the culture. Lots of hills, lots of flats, lots of riders with more dollars than sense, just like me.
(would love to go to the ride, but I'm in SYDNEY. IN THE HILLS AREA. WINK. WINK.)

Gippsland, Victoria has some great rides, beautiful scenery and would definitely be an ideal location for this ride!

Sydney Hills - Blue Mountains area. Why? Because Sydney gets none of these.
cheers Glenn

+1. We get none and have some of the biggest cycling clubs/participants in Aus. The biggest issue though is road closures etc if there is an event like this.

The Hunter Valley - road closures not a major issue, premier tourism location of NSW and fantastic scenery. Plenty of accommodation for anyone attending and it is easy to reach either from Sydney via the F3 or via Newcastle airport for any out of towners. Location has both hills and flats and stunning scenery And it has great wineries to try out whilst not riding. What more could you want????
