Coffee Club Nundah

Postby Hamster » Sat Feb 23, 2013 12:55 pm

Guys,

Just letting everybody know that the Coffee Club at the corner of Sandgate Road and Buckland Road is providing groups of cyclist with a free coffee and a free slice of toast :D :D . The guy who I think is the owner is really friendly and the service is brilliant :D . There is also good parking opportunities for bikes where they can be kept an eye on :D :D .

Well worth a visit to check it out.
It would not be at all strange if history came to the conclusion that the perfection of the bicycle was the greatest achievement of the nineteenth century.

Yep, would rather pay for it elsewhere than free at CC

Yeah, when you look at it like that. Let's see, 2 hours riding for $5 worth of coffee and toast. That would be $2.50 per hour. We would be like professional cyclists :D I knew there was a reason I have "Special professional" decals on the Viner.

I hear the owner is a nice guy. Pity he isn't there more often running his business.
I'll give it a go, but have been turned off in the past by disinterested staff and mediocre coffee.
Plus the CC has heaps of serious competition in Nundah, 7 at last count.

Yeah, busy with a new line of work....

Still sourcing parts for the Colnago, dabbling in bikes but put on a few kgs. Bummed that I missed the 2nd l'eroica. Hoping to get to this years.

I went into the cc at the gap on the way back from glorious one day and they were ridiculously nice. :)

I wonder whether someone has realised that if you look after cyclist well you can get a lot of business.

it's been said that cycling is the new golf. so you have a lot of powerful people going for rides, then coffee. get these people on your side, and they'll come back for other business.

My order of preference on Nundah coffee :

1 Chica Cino
2 Simply Duo
3 Slightly Twisted
4 the little takeaway shop between the Coffee Club and Woolies car entry from Buckland Rd. Lovely owners as well.
4 Coffee Club
5 Jam
there's a new cafe behind the gym (and one in the gym) but haven't been to either.

Chica cino gets crazy on Sunday with cyclists now. A good idea to do 100+km and arrive after 930am when the Fred's and 5am fastcats have left.
And there's often a cue of up to 20 people waiting at Jam these days.
Had breakfast at CC last weekend. Was ok, but nothing out of the ordinary. Coffee just ok.
Had breaky at Slightly Twisted this morning. Better than CC.
