Not sure about a mascot, but how about a NOOSA STRADE BIANCHE kit?? 8)

Quality jersey and bibs for a mere $120 + $12 post.
includes a $10 donation to Motor Neuron Disease research;

http://www.noosa-stradebianche.com.au/donation/

The manufacturer (China) has a good reputation & supplies 1000's garments to a major brand in Europe every month.

Minimum order of 20, paid up front, to get this rolling; PM me.
We need orders by the end of the month (May) to be able to get the turn-around before the event date.
Sizing details to come.

Great idea. Can you lose the KGB logo though? A 36h tubular would be more appropriate, I think. Is there a sliding scale for pricing?

Scott, for you $60 + post for the jersey. :D
We don't want to do too many of these as we will be ordering complete kits.

Also, they can be posted or collected on the day...

duds2u and Idrcycles,
Will be hooking up and getting that Raleigh to you Idr in the next few weeks, it's a 60cm frame.

You can ride that duds2u if you fit..

.. if Idr gets the girl functioning, and doesn't mind it not being displayed with his other prides and joys... :D

Due to popular demand- well, one or two demands :wink:
.... a shorter course for those not wanting to the full 128km Gran Fondo; an 85km Medio Fondo :D

http://www.noosa-stradebianche.com.au/the-route/

The same course as far as Cooran, then cut back on Pinbarren Road and link up with the return leg of the big ride.
Cuts out the Cedar Pocket-Kin Kin section. Still plenty of gravelly goodness.

Thanks for the offer but it's too big for me. I ride a 54 frame.

Is that a modern 54 or a retro 54?

A lot of riders size their retro rides wrong basing them on a modern fit.

Your older bike should be roughly sized on your ideal saddle height minus approx. 18-19 cm. you have to remember older style seatposts usually only had useful length of 11 - 15.5cm.

Don't worry about top tube length that can be compensated for with the right stem.

Jersey Prototype.
There will be a couple of changes for the production run;
An extra stripe on the sleeve and the word 'noosa' moved up between 'Strade Bianche'.

Only a bit over 4 weeks to go now! (time for me to start panicking :shock: ).

Rode the short course this arvo to check it out and the gravel sections are in excellent condition, recently graded, very smooth, very few potholes and not much loose gravel about.

I expect the short course will be a popular option this year, even the 85k version is a very good workout.

Make sure your brakes are working and be cautious on the downhill of Anderson Road (from Black Mountain down to Federal) and on Sankeys Rd, the road surfaces are good but Anderson Rd is VERY steep. The only concern with the Sankeys Rd downhill is the big ditch full of rocks on the left side, you do not want to go hooning along and end up in that for whatever reason. Don't be scared off though, so long as you ride sensibly there are no worries.
