Hi guys. Is there any chance we can get a directory going of the Brisbane's ride routes for roadies? Would be great to have the Strava/Bikely route linked with the total km of the ride. Getting sick of Riverloop. Have listed a few I've been on below.
Riverloop - 36km - [GS, ST]
City to Sandgate - 56.6 - [ST,TH].
City to Manly/Lota via the Gateway Bridge - 56.4km - [ST].
Gap Creek Rd. Climb - 2km - [GS, ST]
Upper Brookfield - 10km - [S]
Mt. Coot Tha (Back) - 9km - [GS,ST].
Mt. Nebo Descent - 18km - [TH].
Road Conditions Key:
S - Safe at most times
GS - Generally Safe
ST - Some Traffic
TH - Traffic Heavy

if you are getting sick of the riverloop you can check this one out
The BNA SEQ Weekend Warriors
If you want a slight variation on the standard River loop:
Westlake loop http://app.strava.com/activities/40689435
17 Mile Rocks http://app.strava.com/activities/44172788
Seven Sisters http://app.strava.com/activities/43646408
West Mt Cotton http://app.strava.com/activities/51603407
Clear Mtn loop http://app.strava.com/activities/60377003
Toohey Forest loop http://app.strava.com/activities/32146805
Not sure if this will work.
You can make it a true loop and a bit shorter in distance by heading back up highway through Chandler and swing in the back way to Belmont. I know many riders have Capalaba as the start and finish point which would make it around 80 km.
I'm not responsible for the name, which does however say it all....

Ha ha! Cookies on dowels.
you could do the front of Mount coot-tha
the back is 9%, but the front averages out to 6.6% or something
What about Clear Mountain? Winn Road to the lodge (North to South) is only an average of about 4.4% over 4km... although it does have 12%, -12%, 17%, 12%, 16%, -14%, and 20% climbs going from North to South. Strangley enough I find it easier to power up the back of Clear Mountain compared to Coot-tha. I guess its because you can't get a breather anywhere heading up the back.
I immediately regret that decision. Really struggled - dont think im over a bug ive had for the last few weeks
