What, yes there are there is that big one to the Banksia Golf Club, it has to rise at least 2.5mtrs and then there are the canal bridges that rise the same, so there, there some climbs on Bribie.

And bugger....

A mid week decent quad strain has me out if the B9 for 2016.

Lots of training...I guess the consolation is that I am now much fitter as a result of the past 2-3 months.

Maybe a solo blast in a couple of weeks will get 2016 out of my system.

Grrrr...

that would be me... have a stop over in Brisbane as i head to Doha to see kids... fly in Saturday night, put bike together...ride as many hills as possible... catch up with family for Chrissie BBQ...pack bike and head to airport Monday morning for a sleep... somehow will fit fun in there somewhere

I was really hoping this would be the year i return (especially as my 4 year long build of a team issue prototype is finally finishing) but alas overwork and too many viruses means I'd be flat out managing even 3 of the hills.

My Christmas plans have changed, My Ex's company was to fly me to Doha to see kids but she failed to mention that I had to stay min 6 months... if I change my flights to Brisbane I have to pay current prices for both legs... and both have doubled so now going to do some bike packing as I kill the 2 weeks ... that means instead of taking the light roadie I now will take CX bike... hoping to be able to take the road wheelset as well, dont feel like riding on 40c off road tyres

Last time i did it there was a young bloke riding a downhill bike, he was getting along pretty well but it did not look like fun. The knobblies made an unholy noise on the downhills!! :)

Well that was a fun ride... a bit humid compared to what I am now used to .. had a few issues at the airport and had to leave road wheels behind but the gravel wheels worked ok... 2 hrs 38 to finish the 9 hills... good morning...

Great work Cancan. Lucky it wasn't a hot day!

You got me...I came in at 2:41. A whole 20mins faster than my 2015 effort (missed 2016 due to injury). Cost myself dearly overshooting the Lindsey Rd turn as I went in too hot and had to abort    and lost my grouping.

Riding with feather weights gliding up hills is pretty tiring for a heavy weight like me...thank gawd for Star Wars as 2.5 hours in a cinema was just what the doctor ordered after that. Will get sub 2:40 next year...
