Cycling with kids - anyone know some good sites?I tow a 2 kid chariot trailer and fear for their lives on the road. We live on the sunshine coast and want to get out and about with the kids on the weekends while it is still cool. Thanks
G'day Ditompkin
As far as the Sunshine Coast is concerned I can only suggest an orange flag or two and another bike (spouse or firend) behind. If your willing to drive, there is a bike path which runs from the tip of Scarborough to Michelton, which is about 50km or so in length. There is a path from Tingalpa to Eight Mile Plains which is about 20km in length. There is also a forum here. The forum link is at the top of the page. Also, you could phone a bike shop or your local council.
I would agree with Mount Gower on the Scarborought to Mitchelton But generally I only do the Shorncliffe to Mitchelton streach. The Redcliffe part is just to narrow and full of cattle that don't understand the idea of keeping left.
Donald BCC give us some more bikeways fore safe travel!!!!
