Very well run this year; the sorted out all the little things from last year. Great to see organizers who listen and improve. Will definitely be signing up again for next year. The 170 km ride is an absolute challenge. The "rolling hills" are relentless; an awesome mental challenge.

Hey, I did the 50km yesterday. It turned into a fairly lonely ride for me. Not many people seemed to be doing the 50km and I rode probably half of it solo. But it was fun and was pretty nice ride really.

I really wanted to go but it rained like cats and dogs at my place, I'm half way between Brisbane and Ipswich, you guys must of missed it all.

We were very lucky with the weather. Got the first few drops of rain as I drove out of the car park .

Did anyone see the girl with the Chinaman hat? She was a laugh, we passed her four times. She was on a MTB but had a basket on the front with her drinks and food in it.

Every time we passed her or she passed us, we'd each give each other some stick.

I was on older model Binachi. I was wearing a plain blue jersey and white Bell helmet.

I made the mistake at the start of trying to stay with the uber fast guy. That lasted a couple of kms. An older bloke caught up with me and I rode with him for a bit until I realised that the water splashing me in the face wasn't rain or from his water bottle, but in fact seemed to be coming from his forehead. :( So I let him go. At Rosewood a lady in AvantiPlus kit caught up with me and I swapped turns with her for about 15km until I ran out of steam and she rode off into the distance.

Had a lovely morning. Was doing the 100km with AmyinBrisbane and another couple. Great scenery, low traffic and lucky weather meant good times. Towards the end Amy and I split from the other couple and put in pretty decent pace, especially from Purga to Yamanto so we could get off the fast road.

Only dampener on proceedings was at the very last traffic light with Amy getting chopped by the guys in the lead 160km bunch. Great work finiishing so fast guys, but giving us mortals a little more room as you fly by would be nice. :?
