Maybe we should start a new thread? Do you have a link to the Binna Burra ride? Have heard the ride to the natural arch/bridge is good?

I have done the Binna Burra ride from nerang railway station in the past.
Nice ride, or at least it was when i did it last, almost 5yr ago.
Not steep, just a gradual climb.
The only difficult bits that i recall is at beginning (finding a low-stress route through Nerang) and at the very end (almost had to walk the last km)!
I am in if T-Rav and Ldrcycles are.

Yep lets do it, whatever the route we decide. I think redrover was looking to do a ride around there also?

. My tentative plan is to start in Canungra and go up to O'Reilly's and back (about 70k), then up the back of Beechmont to Binna Burra and back (another 54k). Keeps it to a reasonable distance so as to make chasing KOMs easier .

I think redrover was looking to do a ride around there also?

I won't be able to do a Sat morning ride this week. Tied up in a garage sale. (no bike bits) Enjoy the ride.

Canungra to Beechmont is way too nasty a climb for me.
Sorry to be a wuss but i did it 25 years ago and it was too much for me then so its too much for me now.

Sounds good, i'll be on my Apollo with the XTR rear derailleur and 32t cassette, so I will fear no gradient . At least not uphill ones .

So this ride happening? Will hit a riverloop/ cootha in the morning if anyone wants to join.

Yep, lock it in eddy! I'm definitely there and I believe smithstreet is bringing a small convoy. Should be a cracker of a morning . assuming the weather plays nice...

Standard eastern loop this Saturday 6am. Russell St. A Lennox Hd lad will be joining.

Hmmm. Choices, choices. Would like to do cootha but I might be a bit slow for group. What time are you heading off Trav?

sounds like you lot had loads of fun... i went on a bunch ride this morning with this shop called The Freedom Machine and going down Beach Road was good and okay pace but got slaughtered coming back...it was real fun! certainly wasn't hard to spot though. Only steely I saw on the road was my own.
