I made it last year in 3 hours, not bad considering I'd only owned the bike for 6 weeks before the ride!! Not sure what I'll do this year, think I'll just wait and see how I feel on the day. The potential is there to go sub 3hours....

I'll be registering tonight. Tore my ACL 3 weeks ago so I had to wait to see if I recovered in time. Hopefully it makes there in one piece.
Anyone know what sort of traffic we need to deal with down there?

dumb question:
where do you attach the ride number card? it's massive!
i am thinking of taking it to the side - between the steerer tube, the down tube and the top tube...

Hi Winona use the ties supplied to attach to your brake cables, Tip if you are driving in with the bike on a rack wait until you arrive before fitting the number, a mate of mine learned that the hard way and left his number on the freeway.

Not really a dumb question at all. If it is a dumb queestion, then we are both asking it.
I ended up doing a bit of looking around. Looked at the website for the photographers. Then looked at past events. They are putting the number card to the handlebars.

Have a look on the past events and look at last years.

Actually a very good question, I've got under seat steering on my 'bent which limits even further where to afix said rider number. Perhaps on top of my helmet like that 'Celebrity Head' game.

It says in the PDF that they emailed that the white numbered bike bib should be put on your bike front using the twist ties.
Most people either put them on the gear cables or in behind the cables so the ties go around the handlebars.
