Really? The cops also fined cyclists who rode across that intersection before the law was changed this year. Did you ever walk it? If you did, I never saw it.

That intersection is utterly pathetic. The government should be paying people to build the promised cycling bridge rather than fining cyclists for using their common sense.

The bridge is committed, but yeah, can't come fast enough.

Whats the go with the Zebra crossing there are you allowed to ride through it without dismounting as its part of the intersection traffic lights crossing.

Riding across a road on a crossing (s248)
Pedestrian crossing
Cyclists are not permitted to ride across a road on a pedestrian crossing (Zebra) or children's crossing.

You must dismount from your bicycle and walk across a pedestrian crossing (Zebra) or children's crossing.

You can ride across pedestrian crossings situated at traffic lights if you:
•proceed slowly and safely
•give way to any pedestrian on the crossing
•keep to the left of any oncoming bicycle rider or person who is using a personal mobility device.

Its remains a 'pedestrian crossing' as there are no, 'pedestrian lights facing pedestrians'. Section 248 is clear - you have to walk it.

Wait for the 'fix' with a third set of lights.

I saw the article tweeted by the Amy GIllett Foundation. Now I know where the bridge is going to be!
