Father's Day in Brisbane

Father's Day started with a trip out to Wynnum and following the waterline to Victoria Point and home via my parents plae at Birkdale. Here are some pics I took along the way:

With North Stradbroke Is. When I was a kid we used to tie a rope to an old bike and set up a jump at the end of the Jetty. We always figured we were safe because every weekend there was an old bloke who used to float around on his back for hours about 50m out from the end of the jetty. We always felt safe when he was there.

After visiting my parents and arriving home with 103km on the clock I was feeling like riding more, but grateful for the chance to get out on a Sunday morning. It was my wife's birthday, so I had a quick shower and took the ten minute bus ride to Southbank where I met my wife and daughter and enjoyed a foot long Spicy Italian Subway sandwich. We also rode the new ferris wheel whilst there. After that it was a 4pm Mass at St Philomena School and dinner at Toni's at Mt Gravatt.

A huge day.
