Postby biker jk » Mon Nov 09, 2015 9:11 am

A man has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed with a screwdriver in Norman Park on Sunday.

Police said at 10.45am a cyclist was riding along a bike path in Giffin Park when a 20-year-old man confronted him near Venice Street.

The cyclist, a 46-year-old man, was stabbed multiple times with what police said appeared to be a screwdriver by the younger man.

The man then ran off, but police tracked him down and take him into custody.

Paramedics treated the 46-year-old cyclist who had suffered injuries to his chest and shoulder.

The man was transported to Princess Alexandra hospital in a stable condition.

Police are investigating.
