Bike Postage

Postby rossocorsa » Thu Nov 10, 2016 7:26 am

Good morning everyone,

I need to get a frame boxed and shipped from Melbourne to Brisbane.

Has anyone got any advice or experience in doing this?

Thanks,

Ben

Cheapest I've found is e-go.com.au.
They're a bit rough around the edges but have done a few jobs OK for me.
And take out some insurance with them, doesn't cost much but means that they pay more attention.
Make sure you pack it very well.

Ask your Local Bike Shop for a box. They might also give you some packing foam or bubble wrap. Box it up and get a quote from E-Go. If you drop it to a nearby E-Go depot it will be a lot cheaper. And if the person at the other end can collect it from a depot near them it will be cheaper again.

Ended up just buying a bike from Brisbane so didn't have to worry about it. Thanks for the responses though guys. Much appreciated.
