Bains roadtried bains road today, ive done it a few times before but im not as fit as i was then. its not a long hill but it sure seems steep, especially on my 6 speed early 90's roadie. Anyone rode it and what do you think.
Re: Bains roadnot done bains, but love doing Coxs Hill Road. Good 7km climb, and always pass Bains on the way down thinking I should give it a crack.

Re: Bains roadwhereabouts these roads of which you speak?
Re: Bains roadBains and Coxs Hill Road is down south. Woodcroft, Happy Valley way.
To get there you can: Travel up the ever so fun Chandlers hill for a few km's and throw a right at the top. Keep right and you find yourself on Coxs Hill. Its actually much more fun not taking the 9% pitch up chandlers and going from the other direction for a much longer but less steep climb. OR Travel up Panatalinga Road and just keep going, and going, and going. It a pretty cool loop, and Bains Road meets Coxs Hill pretty much at the peak of the climb. Re: Bains roadthanks Brett, not my neck of the woods (thanks Braulover) at all, but funnily enough my sister lives just off Chandlers Hill Rd, so at least I've got a clue where you're talking about.
Re: Bains road
Careful now...we wouldn't want to overuse it and have it becomes cliched
