Ride Like Crazy

Postby bongo » Wed Nov 18, 2009 11:26 pm

Have just signed up for this ride,a bit over 100kms, Sunday January 17 looks to be an awesome route for a great cause.Anyone else here getting involved?A week before TDU should see the preparation just right, some good climbing to get into the legs before tapering for the following fridays 160kms.

bongo,
I will be riding for such an honorable cause, just not sure if I go the full 100+ or half ride!!
Reason being I am past 50 and a little chunky plus I have noted there is no mountain goat in my legs yet...

Looks like a good ride, think I'll be jumping onboard too. Gonna be a huge week though as I plan on riding out to watch every stage of the tour plus the mutual community ride on friday.

How did everyone go?I really enjoyed this ride, really well organised, great scenery,109kms at 27kms ave,3hrs 52 mins ride time, pretty happy with that for TDU warm up.One nasty crash on the descent from kangaroo creek looked a bit nasty, hope they are ok,have to send out a suffer in your jocks to the guy who bludged on my wheel from lobethal, then overtook on the descent only to get flat halfway down, bring on friday!
