Robbie McEwen is leading a group ride from the Marion Shopping Centre Standish Bike Hub store, at 10am this Saturday.

Not having been to Marion for a while, would this shop be what used to be Trak Cycles, upstairs at the southern end?

Upstairs in the South West end across from Coles... pretty sure it used to be Trak Cycles. Easiest access is via Morphett Road, up the ramp to the top car park and in the entrance on the far right next to the shade sails.

I saw 2 Caisse dEpargne guys riding on along Patawalonga Frtg in Glenelg with their pinny's. (The first two pros ive seen in my life )

OK so thats NOT Marion Shopping Centre for anyone thinking of going. Its in the sthn suburbs of Adelaide...You need to ride down the Veloway along the southern expressway and try and get off at O'Sullivan Beach Rd, head east and turn right into Main Sth Rd.

Lance's ride is on at the same time from the Buffalo. Robbie and Lance are friends aren't they, why couldn't they coordinate better?

Just saw the Omega-Lotto team riding up Anzac hwy, the kit looks pretty good. But my bloody missus saw Lance out on a solo ride!!! He basically said hi to her as he rode past coz she was staring at his bike!! I hate her so much right now

That's going to be a big ride then, and hopefully not too fast. Saw one of the Saxo Bank pros descending down Belair today. He overtook me then calmly drafted behind a car, I decided I want to catch him so put on a bit of gas and overtook him on the outside of a corner. I turned off not long after so didn't get a chance to have a chat with him. Funilly enough I was also wearing my Saxo Bank jersey and knicks.

Walking past the Hilton on the way to work this morning, saw Valverde on his bike near the mall entrance, and saw Alan Pieper on the steps of the Hilton and gave him a "Good Morning".

i had my first clipstack on friday myself. Was riding from Auburn to Elizabeth and spotted a flertetta of Corvettes, stopped for a good look but forgot to unclip. One stopped and asked if i was ok....so i was able to have a look up close and personal.

Rode up Gorge Road and Fox Creek Road today and it was interesting to say the least. On my way up I saw a motorcycle cop all by himself with lights flashing. I thought this was a bit weird, then I realised he was clearing the road and there's only one person who gets that treatment...and sure enough Radioshack were coming the other way. I gave them (well Lance) the cyclists nod and raise of hand, and to my surprise I got a "Hey, have a good one" back from Mr Armstrong. Not much to hang my hat on but it made me smile.

Then...on my way down I encountered a scene where a motorbike rider had misjudged (came in too hot) a corner and had gone over the barrier and was about 3-4 metres down the embankment. He was conscious but didn't look great. Luckily there were people with him and calming him. Scary!

Interesting day.

riding down the freeway this arvo we got caught by a big bunch of the pros and found myself descending next to Alan Davis. Someone reckoned Lance was sitting at the back of the group too

Its like having the Tour de France in town for a whole week
