Cyclist killed - Anzac Hwy/Cross Rd Mon 12 April

Has anyone thought about putting a "ghost" bike on this intersection as mark of respect and a reminder to all road users to be more careful. I realise that the family may not want to be reminded of their loss but, as a victim of a serious cycling accident myself I do feel that anything that get the message across to all road users even if it is born of such a sad loss is worthwhile. If you google ghost bike you will get the idea.

If one was placed there (or anywhere else in Adelaide for that matter) would it be allowed to stay there or would the local council remove it?

As for the local councils removing tributes or vigils of tragic lives lost on our roads, they do so for a number of reasons - there was an 'Advertiser Outrage' and year or so ago about this.

On The Ride for Respect the widow was not able to attend - 3,110% completely understand - but any lasting memorial sanctioned or otherwise should be left to the family.

Had a thought for the country injury (red) and fatality (black) makers - maybe a cyclist sticker could be placed under the 'I' or cross to denote a cyclist was killed or injured would be a way to go??
